(a)

From time to time, it is necessary for the members of the Company ("members") and various other individuals (collectively, "data subjects") to supply the Company with data in connection with various matters such as name, name of organization/company/school that he/she belongs to, telephone number, fax number, email addresses, mailing addresses;
公司會員(「會員」)及其他人士 (統稱「資料當事人」)必須不時向本公司提供有關姓名、所屬機構/公司/學校、電話、傳真、電郵地址、郵寄地址資料；

Although it is not generally obligatory for a data subject to provide personal data, failure to supply such data may result in the Company being unable to continue services to the data subject;
雖然資料當事人一般而言並無義務提供個人資料，但若資料當事人未能提供該等資料，可能導致公司無法提供服務予資料當事人；

(c)

It is also the case that data are collected or received from data subjects from time to time in the ordinary course of the continuation of the Company's relationship with them, for example, when attending seminar/events/workshops, or generally communicate verbally or in writing with the Company.
在持續的正常業務往來中，公司不時亦會向資料當事人收集或接收資料，例如當資料當事人出席講座／活動／研討會，或一般與公司的口頭或書面通訊；

The purpose for which data relating to a data subject may be used will vary depending on the nature of the data subject’s relationship with the Company. These purposes may comprise any or all of the following:
資料當事人之資料的用途將視乎其與公司的關係性質而有所不同，可能包括下列任何或所有用途：

the processing of an application for membership;
處理會員的申請程序；

the daily operation of the services provided to members;
向會員提供服務的日常運作；

with respect to personal data, researching, designing, and providing services related to the objects of the Company (the "Objects");
有關個人資料，以用作研究、設計及推出與公司成立目的(「目的」)有關的服務；

providing alerts, newsletter with contents relevant to the Objects including education materials;
提供內容與目的相關的提示服務、通訊包括教育資料；

designing and conducting surveys/questionnaires, statistical analysis, improving and furthering the provision of services by the Company;
設計及進行問卷調查／統計分析；改善及擴展公司提供的服務；

application for subsidies;
申請資助；

billing and collecting payment;
發帳單及收取費用;

auditing;
審核；

direct marketing (please see further details in paragraph (e) below); and
直銷業務推廣用途(詳見下述第e段)；及

purposes directly related to the above;
與上述各項直接相關的其他用途；

(e)

USE OF DATA IN DIRECT MARKETING
資料作直銷業務推廣用途

The Company intends to use the data subject’s data in direct marketing. The following classes of services may be used in direct marketing:
公司擬使用資料當事人的資料作直銷業務推廣。以下是可能會用作直銷業務推廣的服務類別：

solicitation of donations;
籌款；

Objects-related services offered by the Company; and
由公司提供與目的有關的服務；及

invitations to Objects-related seminars/events/workshops;
邀請參與目的相關的講座／活動／研討會；

Data collected may be maintained for such period as may be prudent and may be retained after the data subject ceases to be a member;
所收集的資料可於審慎管理所須的時限內儲存，並可於資料當事人不再為會員後繼續保留；

The Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance provides an individual with the rights to ascertain whether the Company is holding his/her personal data and to correct any data that is inaccurate and not up to date. You may contact us by mail/fax/email (please see contact details in paragraph (h) below) for access and correction to your personal data;
在個人資料 (私隱) 條例保障下，任何人士有權向公司查詢他們的個人資料的內容及更改任何不準確及不及時的資料。如需取用及更改個人資料，請透過郵寄/傳真/電郵形式(聯繫資料詳見下述第h段)聯絡我們；
